3D printing
3D printing for the home and the desk, from Pune
We are starting a 3D printing line in Pune, beginning with home decor and office setup pieces. Nothing is on sale yet. If you want a piece made, describe it and we will reply.
Pieces
What we plan to make
The first pieces are the ones a desk or a shelf is missing. We plan to make each one to the size you give us.
Desk organisers
Trays and holders for pens, cables, cards and the small things that collect on a desk.
Cable management
Clips for the desk edge, guides for under the desk and holders that keep a charger where you left it.
Monitor and laptop risers
Stands that lift a screen or a closed laptop to the height you work at.
Headphone and device stands
Hooks and stands for a headset, a phone or a tablet.
Planters and lamp shades
Pots for small plants and shades for a bulb you already have.
Wall pieces
Small shelves, hooks and panels for a wall.
Requests
How a request works
Describe the piece: what it is for, its size, and where it will sit, indoors or in the sun.
Send it through the contact form with the topic set to 3D printing. A link to a sketch, a photo of the spot or a design you like is fine too.
We reply with questions, then agree the shape, the size and the material before anything is made.
We do not publish prices or lead times yet. Each request gets its own answer.
Materials
Materials, in plain words
Where the piece will sit decides the material. PLA, the usual choice for indoor pieces, starts to soften before it reaches 60 C, so it suits pieces kept away from heat. PETG takes more heat. ASA is the one its makers describe as made for sun and weather, and TPU is the flexible one.
We make no food-contact items. Layer lines trap residue and are hard to clean, so we follow Prusa's advice and do not print cups, plates or containers for food.
Designs
Designs and credit
We will print our own designs, or designs whose licence allows it, and credit the designer. Many shared designs are released under licences that bar commercial use, and we leave those alone.
Tell us what the desk or the shelf is missing
A sentence about the piece and where it will sit is enough to start.
