Timestamp reader
Paste a Unix timestamp or a date. A number is read as seconds, milliseconds, microseconds or nanoseconds by its size, and a date as ISO 8601 or the format of an HTTP or email header. The page shows the moment in every form, in UTC and in the time zone you pick, and how long ago or how far ahead it is.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you paste is sent anywhere or saved: this page is served with a Content Security Policy that stops it from opening connections (connect-src 'none'), and it has no analytics or ads. Open your browser's Network tab to check that no request carries what you paste.
How to use
Type or paste a value, or press Now. Pick a unit when the size of the number reads it wrong, and a time zone to see the local time there; a date written without an offset is read in that zone. A link that ends in a value, such as /tools/timestamp-reader/#1700000000, opens with it. The part after # stays in your browser and is not sent to the server.
