Lean and roll
A ball on a track, drawn in your browser. Lean the track and the ball rolls; keep it on the track to the finish. There is a new track every day, and a builder for your own.
The track
This game draws its track with WebGL 2, which this browser does not offer. Our other games play without it.
Build a track
Pieces go on one after another from the start gate, and the finish gate follows the last one. A piece that would run into the track cannot be added. A jump needs two straights just before it and only a straight after it. A slider needs a straight before it. At most three beams, slopes or sliders run in a row. The track climbs at most four levels and never goes below the start.
How to play
Tilt the track with the arrow keys or W, A, S and D (hold Shift for a gentler lean), by dragging on the scene, or on a phone with Use phone tilt, which leans the track as you tilt the phone. On a phone, tap the scene first; until then a swipe on it scrolls the page, and Let go hands the page back. The track leans a few degrees at most and the ball rolls downhill. The clock starts when you first tilt the track and stops at the finish gate. Straights have low walls; bends, beams and slopes have none, so a ball that rolls over an edge falls. A fall puts the ball back at the last checkpoint and adds 3 seconds. Fall three times on one piece and the ball is set down past it.Your best run on a track rolls beside you as a see-through ghost, and the time beside the clock says how far ahead or behind it you are at each checkpoint. A new track comes at midnight, and the streak counts the days in a row you finish it. Build a track lays pieces from the start gate; Roll this track plays it, and Copy link gives a link to it, with your best time to beat once you have one. A finished run's Share result sends your time with a link to the same track.
About this game
The ball rolls without slipping, so on a slope it gains speed at five sevenths of the rate a sliding block would. The game moves it in steps of a hundred and twentieth of a second with the same sums on every device, so the same tilts give the same run, and your ghost is your own tilts played again. Each day's track is built from the date, so everyone gets the same one. The ball, the track and the scene are our own designs, made in code. Everything runs in your browser, in Rust with the Bevy engine, and nothing you do here is sent anywhere. Your times and ghosts stay in this browser.
